The Garmin Z82 Laser Distance Meter with GPS is one of the most accurate laser distance meters available. The device also gives you a new perspective on more than 41,000 courses worldwide. Looking through the viewfinder, you will see the distance view, complemented by a full-color 2D CourseView overlay for the hole you are currently playing, with distances to hazards and the front and back of the green.

Then when you activate the libel rangefinder, you will get exact distances to within 25 cm (10 inches) of the targets you are aiming at. The Z82 automatically determines which hole you are currently playing and gives you the correct course layout and par information.

Pin the flag

Image stabilization makes it easier to locate the flag in your sight and measure the distance. The smart flag finder automatically captures the flag of each hole. Once the flag is fixed, the viewfinder adds a detailed 2D view of the green layout, plus distances to the front and back of the green. The viewfinder image shows the hole magnified 6 times for a clear, crisp view, complemented by map overlays showing the hole's layout.

Help with Shots Uphill and Downhill

The PlaysLike Distance feature adjusts distances for uphill and downhill shots based on the elevation difference between where you are and the marked location on the map. This makes it much easier to determine which club to use for uphill and downhill shots. And when you play a tournament, you can turn PlaysLike distance on or off. There is even a PinPointer function that shows you the direction on the green for blind shots.

Overview of the situation

When you measure the distance to an object, the Laser Range Arc feature draws an arc on the 2D orbit map at the distance that the laser is measuring, giving you a good overview of the situation at that distance.
